Reseller Quick Start Guide

This is a guide that goes over some basic concepts as well as listing in order the best guides to read to learn how to setup your first customer.

This is a guide that collates a selection of articles together in one place in the order we best feel will help you get to grips with the platform.

When you log into the portal for the first time you will be greeted with the home screen for your platform.

This is what is known as the global view, and is the top level area where you will navigate between your end users.

At this point it would be useful to understand the below terminology (these are very brief descriptions more detail will be provided later in the article):
Domain - A domain is a single customer/end user/company/organisation/tenant/etc...

User - An extension you can register devices to.

To begin to understand what everything here is see the article What can I do in the global view?, and to understand more about views in general, and what they mean, see the article Understanding the different portal views.

Now that you have navigated around the global view a bit, you will probably want to get started creating some domains and Users.

Firstly you will need a domain to create users on:

Understanding the hierarchy of Domains, Sites, Departments, and Users.
How does a residential domain differ from a regular domain?

Once you have made your first domain, you may want to assign some Phone Numbers to it: How do I manage/assign phone numbers?

Now you're going to want to add some users to the domain, but first you need to move into the domain view of the domain you just created, click the "Domains" tab at the top, and then click on the name of the domain.

Now you have moved into the domain view of the domain you created earlier. If you want to see a brief overview of everything in the domain view, check out What can I see in the domain view?

To get up and running we're going to need to create some users:
How do I configure a user?
Understanding The User

Once you have a domain and some users you will want to set up a type of SIP device to these users in order to make calls.

You can either begin to register devices yourself now, in which case view the below articles:
How do I configure a new SIP device/phone?
How do I configure phone hardware in the domain?

Or you can set up your users on the web/mobile apps (they will need logins to the online portal first).

Now that you have users making outbound calls, you will next want to route those numbers you assigned earlier so that they can begin to receive inbound calls aswell.
How do I route phone numbers within a domain?

Now that you're using the platform, you might like to explore all the other features that the platform has to offer, see some commonly used features below:

How do I configure voicemail?
How do I configure a ring group?
How do I configure a call queue?
How do I configure Auto Attendants?
What options are there when configuring music on hold?
How do I configure Time Frames?
How do I configure answering rules?
What can I see in the call history?

When you have a few domains going and people using the platform, you will inevitably end up with people raising faults and issues, and you're going to have to troubleshoot them.
