Luminate Studio Terminology Guide

This article covers all relevant terminology used by Luminate Studio.

Messages

Messages are any voice recording created by either an AI or an actor.

Compilation

A compilation is a grouping of 1 or more messages along with music. Compilations are a single audio file designed to be played as your hold music.

Queue

A queue in Studio is not the same as a queue in Netsapiens. A queue is an automated sync between the Studio platform and the netsapiens server. A queue is required if you want messages to automatically update on the Netsapiens platform.

Stream

A stream is how Queues sync the audio between Studio and netsapiens, there are multiple stream types such as "Icecast" or "HLS", however the ONLY one that netsapiens supports is "PromptSync", as such you can safely ignore the other options.
