How to submit an OOH (Out of Hours) port request.

This article details the processes of how to place ports out of hours and what you can expect when you do.

Porting Types and Procedures

GEO Numbers

If the phone numbers in question are GEO Numbers and Gamma has a Porting Agreement with the LCP/RH, you can request a specific date and time for OOH porting by adding a comment to your port order. The porting team will then manually review your request and confirm if the desired time is available. Please note that GEO number OOH ports are available midweek, except for Wednesdays, and on Saturdays.

NGN (Non Geographic Numbers) (i.e. 0845 - 0800)

For NGNs, porting occurs automatically between midnight and 4 AM. There is no additional charge for OOH porting for NGNs.

IPEX Port Orders

If Gamma does not have a Porting Agreement with the LCP/RH and IPEX Port Orders are required, unfortunately, OOH porting is not available for these orders.

How to Request Out-of-Hours Porting

To request out-of-hours porting, simply provide your preferred date and time as a comment on your porting order, our porting team will notify you if your request can be accommodated.

 

Communication and Support

Please note that while all communication regarding your porting request will be managed by our porting team, the actual OOH porting process itself is carried out by Gamma. Our team will keep you informed of progress and provide necessary details during standard business hours. However, Luminate Wholesale does not offer support outside of these hours.
