This article goes over how a reseller can manually add customers to the studio portal.
If you do not want your end customers adding themselves to the portal then you can do it for them.
You can do this via the Netsapiens portal, the Studio portal, or in bulk via a spreadsheet.
IMPORTANT: There is no charge for adding your customers to the portal. You are only charged if they choose to upgrade to a paid package.
Via the Netsapiens Portal
- Create the customer domain on Netsapiens (If it doesn't exist already).
- Add a user to the domain that has Office Manager access. This user must have a unique email address, however it does not need to be valid.
- Masquerade as the user.
- Click the "Recording Studio Button".
- Click on "Get Started".
- This will bring you to the "AI Assistant" page in the Studio portal, leave this page.
- End the masquerade, then log into your reseller account by again selecting "Recordings Studio" and "Get Started".
- Head to "Companies".
- You should now see the company in the list, to modify the package click on "Update".
- Set the package to the one you want.
- Click "Save Changes".
This covers how to add a company manually via the netsapiens portal. You can now place any messaging orders you want on the company.
Via the Studio portal
- Create the customer domain on Netsapiens (If it doesn't exist already).
- Log in to your reseller account on the Studio portal.
- Click on "Companies".
- Click on "Create New Company".
- Set the company name to be the same as the domain name on netsapiens (if the names don't match the integration won't work and you may end up with billing for a customer that doesn't exist).
- Set your desired package.
- Set the "Customer Reference" to match the Company Name:
- Set the "Platform" to "Luminate Wholesale".
- None of the other fields are mandatory however you may fill them in if you wish.
- Click "Create Company".
In Bulk
You can upload customers in bulk via the Studio portal.
- Ensure that every customer you are going to import already exists as a domain on the Netsapiens portal.
- Log into your reseller account via the Studio portal.
- Click on "Bulk Upload Template" to download the Excel file template.
- Open the template in Excel.
- Set "Company Name" to match the domain name in Netsapiens. (if the names don't match the integration won't work and you may end up with billing for a customer that doesn't exist).
- Set the Email Address (MUST be unique) to be the primary admin for the end customer this will give them end user access to the Studio portal.
- Set the first and last name of the admin.
- Set the "Customer Billing Reference" to be the same as the Company Name.
- Set the platform to "Luminate Wholesale" note that the file says this field is optional but it is not, ensure it is set otherwise it won't sync with the portal.
- Once you're happy, save the file.
- Upload the file via the Studio portal.
