How Do I Stop Calls From Going to Voicemail?

This explains a way to disable voicemail, and how to prevent calls going to voicemail.

All users have voicemail inboxes and by default when a call times out it goes to the users inbox. Upon browsing the answering rules it doesn't seem to be possible to stop this from happening however, the answer is relatively simple.

To stop calls from going to the users voicemail inbox, browse to the voicemail tab, and untick "Enable Voicemail".

 

In some cases however, you might want to leave this user's inbox enabled as they may be receiving voicemails from somewhere else, but you still want to stop calls from going to voicemail, how do you do this?

To do this head to "Answering Rules" and edit the active answering rule. Then set a "when unanswered" diver to the word "busy"

This will force the call to hang up and generate a busy tone.
